was purchased on August 18th, 1949 by Walter St. Clair, purchasing agent for the Alexander-Carey theater chain, owners of the Ritz Theater from the late 1920's until 1969.
The price was $400.00, $3,865.00 in today's currency. The Charles Cretors company is still in business in Chicago, Illinois and continues to build the nation's finest popcorn, cotton candy, nuts and snow cone makers.
